"Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking isn't thinking of." ---TMBGWelcome to Chris' Page o' Tessellations.
A while back, I discovered that I seem to be rather good at making interesting tessellated images. If you are unfamiliar with this, a tessellation is basically a shape or collection of shapes that can be arranged in such a way as to completely fill a surface (such as a sheet of infintely large paper) without any gaps. A chessboard is an example of the simplest kind of tessellation.
This kind of artwork was refined and popularized by the enormously successful works of the Dutch artist, M. C. Escher. At this time, there are some other people doing work somewhat like this. Andrew Crompton has a good list of the people (including me) he knows about who create this sort of art. If you like stuff like this, check it out.
