Here is a Pelican that I made for April toward the end of 1996. This is my first successful tessellation. This one was unusual because I didn't stumble upon the shape by chance. Instead, I was working with the pelican shape and I just got a vague notion that the pelican that I was composing as a logo might be tessellated. After a lot of reworking, I finally made it work.
